Member: Rev. Robert A. Wagstaff
Occupation: New Mt. Cavalry Baptist Church
Position: Chairman

Robert is the senior pastor of New Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Montgomery, AL.  He is a retired employee with the State of Alabama, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Robert is a graduate of Alabama State University and Montgomery Bible Institute and Theological Center, Montgomery, AL.  He has also served on many boards.  Robert has been married for 43 years and has two sons and one grandchild.  He has a perpetual desire to help others have a quality of life.  

Member: Horatio Lee
Occupation: ITNOA, LLC Engineering/General Contractors
Position: Vice Chairman & Housing Chairman

Horatio is the owner of ITNOA LLC, an engineering, general contracting, home building company, that provides design-build services for residential and commercial clients in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and is a licensed professional engineer, licensed general contractor, and home builder. He has been married for 28 years and has six children. As a member of the Board, he serves as Vice-Chairman, and Chairman of the Housing Committee.

Member: Valeria Holston
Occupation: New York Life Insurance
Position: Treasurer

Valeria is a native of Montevallo, Alabama but has lived in Montgomery for 44 years. She attended Montevallo High School and graduated from Alabama A&M University with a General Business Degree. Valeria is a Retired Banker.  She is married with 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren.  

Member: Marjorie Bowden
Occupation: Information Systems
Position: Secretary

Marjorie is a 35-year retired Department of Defense Civilian. She is the owner of M-L-B Enterprises that offers End-of-Life Doula, Biblical Counselor and Life Coach services focusing on caregiving, death planning, and support to grievers.  Marjorie is an author with an MPA and Doctorate of Biblical Studies and is the President of the nonprofit organization, Alpha Love 2 Life. She has three sons and five grandchildren.

Member: Larry Raby
Occupation: Ala. Legislative Reference Service
Position: Attorney

Larry is a graduate of George P. Austin High School, a 1975 graduate of Alabama State University and in 1978 he earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. He served as an Assistant Attorney General of the State of Alabama, Attorney with Legal Service Corporation and is currently in private practice.  He is licensed to practice law in the State of Alabama as well as all three Federal District Courts.  He is married to Barbara Stewart Raby and the proud father of two children one of whom is an attorney.  Larry serves his community as a board member for various organizations and his church as a deacon, trustee, and church chairman

Member: Ketcia Barlow
Occupation: Housing Coordinator
Position: Housing Committee

Ketcia is currently a Housing Coordinator with the State of Alabama.  She has a wealth of experience in allocating tax credits and HUD-financed low-income development while working with the state housing finance agency.   A Navy Veteran with over 20 years of experience in the housing/real estate industry. Proudly serving the housing needs of low and moderately-income Alabamians. 

Member: Linda Muse
Occupation: Office Manager
Position: Housing Committee

Linda is a woman of faith looking to see a change in our community. She is willing to use her talents, skills and education to provide ACTS-CDC with the professional leadership to harness resources and to help develop policies, procedures and programs to bring real change to revitalize West Montgomery. Ms. Muse is prior military, an office manager and educator. She has served on the Board of ACTS-CDC for five years.

Member: Voncile Gregory

Position: Board Member

Voncile is a life-long resident of Montgomery AL. She was educated in Montgomery Public School system and a graduate of Alabama State University. Voncile taught school in Alabama, Louisiana, Lajes Field Azores, Portugal & Los Angeles California.  She retired from Montgomery Community Action Agency (Head Start) as a field supervisor.  She is the proud mother of two daughters and one grandson.  Her motto is “TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED.”

Darrell was Born in Atlanta, GA.  Graduate of Troy University. Retired U.S. Air Force.  Pastor St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. Married father of two.  Works for U.S. Air Force.

Member: Jay A. Mays
Occupation: Operation Supervisor
Board Member

Jay is a native of Montgomery, AL.  He had a passion from a young age to serve the community. He started an annual Thanksgiving give away in 2001 at William Kid Franklin boys club.  Because of his strong desire to mentor the youth of Montgomery he founded New Vision Outreach.  He has worked with various community organizations to help stop violence.  His perpetual passion is to help provide positive outlets for Montgomery’s youth.

Member: Darlene Shuford-Pitts
Occupation: Retired Community Ctr. Mgr.
Position: Board Member

Darlene is a native of Montgomery, AL.  A graduate of Alabama State University. Retired Community Center Director for the City of Montgomery. Ordained Minister at Kingdom Builders International Ministry. Veteran USAF, wife and mother of two. 

Member: Flora Brown
Occupation: Farmers Market Mgr.
Position: Housing Committee

Flora is the manager of the Fairview Farmers Market.  A position that she has held for more than twenty-two years.  Flora has a passion for ensuring that the needs of the people are met by making sure that families have access to fresh fruit and vegetables.  The area where the market is located has been declared a food desert by the U. S. Department of Agriculture, therefore, she ensures that the Farmers Market offers very high-quality agricultural produce grown by local farmers.  Flora is married to Dan Brown and they have three wonderful children.
